Performers include: The Khan Brothers Qawwal Led by Ustad Haji Ameer Khan, the renowned ensemble has been performing in the UK for over 30 years; Damascus Stories A storytelling and music performance based on a collection of stories from Syria adapted for the stage by Alia Alzougbi and Louai Alhenawi in a newly devised script and original music; Saied Silbak: Songs from Palestine Renowned Palestinian composer and Oud player Saied Silbak pays homage to the landscape and trajectory of Palestine’s rich music history, from journeying through the region’s folklore classics, to the soundtracks of the 80s and 90s, as well as showcasing contemporary pieces and sounds.
